A gap year is the ideal time to take to take a break from the usual. View things from a different perspective. Because you want something that will give meaning and have a positive impact upon your life consider studying God’s Word, the Bible.
Meet a great group of international students doing the same thing. Get involved in discussion and learn to think Christianly. Or simply listen and settle things yourself. Choose a hands-on community or church project to get involved in. Watch yourself grow in knowledge and develop in character and confidence.
FOCUS is a quality gap year program that will serve you for the rest of your life because you have worked through issues of your faith. You will leave with the ability to engage the world around you from a solid biblical standpoint. Essentials such as prayer and Bible reading will remain with you.
Subjects and electives will include and cover how to understand Old and New Testament background, read the Bible as God's word, share the Gospel in a multi-cultural world, prepare a biblical message, teach the Bible to children and youth, understand the biblical basis of missions, face the challenge of missions, think biblically in a post-modern world, understand some basic Christian doctrines, realize the significance of Church history, learn and teach effectively, make biblically-shaped ethical choices, get involved as a woman in ministry, and study selected books of the Bible such as Genesis in the Pentateuch and Mark in the Gospels (see list below). All this and more with credits transferable to a university degree, if you have been able to meet university entrance requirements. Register mid-year or end of the year.
So isn’t the time right now to. . .
